Montréal-Nord
Montréal-Nord is a young, dynamic and affordable neighbourhood located in the east of the city. With its diverse cultural community, it is a welcoming place for all.
Real estate in Montreal North
Montreal North continues to evolve and impress as it undergoes significant revitalization, especially in the areas of real estate and public transportation.
Although it is more common to find small apartment buildings and multiplexes there, several condos have been erected in recent years and others are under construction.
The community, made up mainly of families with children, can take advantage of the recent opening of an ATM train station and soon the rapid bus service planned for 2020. Montréal-Nord is also committed to being respectful of the environment and has moreover invested in exciting initiatives such as the Éco-quartier.
Montréal-Nord includes the Saint-Vital, Quartier des Fleurs, Bord-de-l’Eau and Nord-Est districts.
Hobbies and lifestyle
Residents have access to an array of services and activities, in part thanks to more than 100 community organizations. Montréal-Nord has four libraries, some thirty parks and several places dedicated to sports and recreation.
The many schools range from primary school to adult education centers, both French and English.
Montréal-Nord is home to two major shopping malls, Place Bourassa and SmartCentres Montréal-Nord, as well as other notable shopping areas located on various main thoroughfares.
Due to its location on the banks of the Rivière-des-Prairies, nature is at the forefront in the lives of the residents of the borough. Boulevard Gouin, picturesque in itself, leads to the magnificent Île-de-la-Visitation nature park.
Did you know?
Montréal-Nord has a Ferris wheel! It is not, however, a functional carousel. Rather, it is a public art installation meant to welcome visitors to the neighbourhood as well as the city.
