Chomedey
Located in the southwestern part of Laval, along the Rivière-des-Prairies, Chomedey is a lively and very family-friendly neighbourhood. It is also the sector of the island where the culture is the most diversified.

Its residential areas form a well-balanced mix of single-family homes and apartment buildings, although rapid development in recent years has brought many condo towers and residential projects to this mix.
Hobbies and lifestyle
Getting to Montreal is quick and easy thanks to its highways 15 and 13 as well as the Curé-Labelle bridge, but residents are lucky enough to live in what is considered downtown Laval. At its heart is of course the Centropolis, an outdoor complex that not only includes shops, restaurants and a cinema, but also unique activities such as rock climbing, a fluorescent mini-golf course and skydiving simulation.
Other major points of interest in the neighbourhood are Carrefour Laval, one of the largest shopping centers in the province, as well as the 440 public markets with its gourmet food shops and seasonal food kiosks.
